In 1983, the Stodola family opened the first Señor Froggy on the North Shore of Kamloops with a simple idea: make everything fresh, use real ingredients, and treat every customer like a neighbour. No frozen pre-packs, no processed cheese, no shortcuts.
Four decades later, that idea hasn't changed. The hot sauce recipe is still a family secret. The beans are still cooked from raw pinto beans every morning. The cheese is still 100% real aged cheddar — never “edible oil product.”
What started as one small restaurant has grown into three locations across Kamloops, but the family is still in the kitchen and the philosophy is still the same: fresh food, honest ingredients, fair prices.

The Beginning
The Stodola family opens the first Señor Froggy on Sydney Avenue in North Kamloops. Fresh burritos, tacos, and that legendary hot sauce — from day one.
Downtown Arrives
Demand grows. A second location opens at 450 Lansdowne Street in downtown Kamloops, bringing the same fresh-made food to the heart of the city.
Sandman Centre
Señor Froggy becomes the go-to game-day food at the Sandman Centre, serving Kamloops Blazers fans tacos and burritos during hockey season.
